ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Downtown Overlay FY2026
Notice is hereby given that the Duncan Public Utilities Authority (Owner) will receive sealed bids at the City Clerk's Office, 1600 S. Hwy 81 Duncan, Oklahoma 73533 (Mailing Address: P. O. Box 969, Duncan, Oklahoma, 73534) until 1:30 p.m. on the 2nd day of September, 2026, for Downtown Overlay FY 2026 Project. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the City Clerk's Office. Bids received after the closing time will not be considered. Bidders are invited to be present when the bids are opened. Minority and small business owners are encouraged to submit bid proposals.
Bid documents and copies of specifications may be obtained from the Public Works Director, 1600 S. Hwy 81, Duncan, Oklahoma. Bid documents, plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the Public Works Director, City of Duncan. A pre-bid conference will be held in the Conference Room, City Hall, Duncan, Oklahoma on August 26th, at 10:00 a.m.
A cashier's check or a certified check on a solvent bank in Oklahoma or a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany the proposal of each bidder. The check or bond shall be made payable to the Owner. All checks or bonds will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. This check or bond shall be as a guarantee of contractor's ability to perform the contract bid upon, and that he will enter into a written contract with the Owner to perform said work and/or furnish said materials in accordance with said specifications and furnish the required bonds within ten (10) business days after the acceptance of his bid. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the closing date for the receipt of bids.
Performance, Maintenance and Statutory Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price each with a Corporate Surety licensed in Oklahoma and approved by the Owner will be required for the faithful performance of the contract, and the bidder shall state in the proposal the name and address of the Surety or Sureties who will sign this bond in case the contract is awarded to him. Copies of acceptable bond forms are included in this packet.
A Maintenance Bond guaranteeing the repair of all damage due to improper materials or workmanship for a period of one (1) year after the acceptance of the work by the Owner will be required.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities in any bid and award a contract to the bidder who, in the opinion of the Owner, offers a proposal which appears to be in the best interest of the Owner.
